Ever wondered what heart rate monitoring means.
The heart rate is a good gauge of reflecting the effort that you are putting in to your training.
At rest heart rates range from 50 beats per minute (BPM) for Elite fitness & 81and above for people with below average fitness.
You can get a rough calculation of you heart rate by counting heart beats over a 6 second period and then multiply by 10.
Slightly more accurate try counting over 15 seconds and times by 4.
This gives you a rough gauge of the effect of your effort while exercising on your BPM,or for testing your recovery rate and resting heartbeat.

The easiest and best known method to calculate your maximum heart rate (MHR) is to use the formula-
